About 10 years ago I bought a big job lot of singles at a boot sale, cost me £20 for over a 1,000 records (it was starting to rain and he was fed up, so made him an offer for the lot).
Sorted out the good stuff and sold a few to get my money back, but the rest have been stuck in boxes untouched and unplayed ever since.
Finally got around to listening to some of them today. A weird and wonderful selection ::)
Will try to grab pics of those I've done so far as and when I get the time.

Wow that was a bargain Lee
What was your return on the selling? I take it you got a bit more than your money back ;)
It will be interesting to see what you have.
Was doing boot sales for about 20 years, buying and selling records and other stuff.
Breaks my heart to think off the low prices I was charging when vinyl was going out of fashion.
Remember coming home with a big box of 70's-80's albums for £3, the box itself was worth more than that.
There was a period when you couldn't give vinyl away.
Recently added my current collection (what's left) to Discogs and some of the prices are crazy.
Discogs pic showing some of the current prices, albums were bought new (about £5 each), 2 singles here were part of the job lot

Wow the Pink Floyd album is a lot :yikes
Yes can't believe that considering it was an album that nearly everyone had?
I still have the posters that came with it, but they are from mint condition as they were stuck on the wall for years ;)
Sorting another one in A-Z order, lots of David Bowie and Abba in this one

:lol
I was loking at the photo thinking that they're not in alphabetical order and then realised you've put them in coloumns going down not across :headwall
Great love Vinyl :thumbsup
I still have a couple of flight case boxes of my 60's & 70's 7" somewhere.
I will have to dig them out ::)
Working my way through, ripping stuff that I don't already have saved on PC.
Odd thing is some of the newer near mint records still have crackles and hisses which need tidying up, and yet I played this one earlier which is over 60 years old and was in a tatty sleeve and it was perfect, no scratches, crackles or anything.
Shame it's not the greatest song :lol
Another box load of weird and wonderful vinyl catalogued, and fully mp3'd
2 down, 12 to go.

Yeah but you'd only be playing games here Lee ;)
Play games while listening to music :)
Something different, just finished sorting what's left of the CD collection.
The winner is - Various Artists
Runners-up - The Letters S, B, M

* No idea why this only uploads upside down? *
* Tried an upside down version, came out the same?? *
I've sorted it ;)
I've also changed the max size of images in the post which is now 20MB it was 100MB which is way too much. If it causes problems I'll up it a little. It just means you have to resize them if you want to add more than a couple to a post
Resized to 0.6MB seems ok

Original 1.5mb but still loads upside down

That's very odd, neither of the images are oversized, so I don't know why it's doing that. All I did was download your copy put it into Paintshop Pro and rotated the image then saved it as a .png then reattached it
It's an odd thing, just tested out a selection of others and some go 90º to the right, and even corrects some of those I haven't changed from portrait to landscape?
This does happen on Twitter as well, have edited this multiple times but it refuses to show in landscape mode

p.s nothing to do with records :lol
Some odd stuff that I've listened to in the last week :)
These don't tend to turn up on music share sites, a collection of classical, opera, comedy etc
Obviously someone bought them back in the day.

Are they albums or singles, Lee? It's difficult to tell from the photo.
All 7" singles / EP's

I bet some of those are quite rare then, and maybe worth a few quid :thumbup
Great collection :thumbsup

Nothing that valuable as far as I know, highest price paid on Discogs for those in the picture was only £6.90 for the Tanzorchester waltz record.
Of all my EP's only a Gene Vincent one has sold for over £50, and only a handful for over a tenner.
Fancy singing along to the Tupperware song :rofl

I wonder :scratchhead
Are those real prices paid for albums or ?

Apparently they are real prices paid for.
The article was in an online newspaper that I read
Some real crazy prices paid, saw a Beatles single went for over £4000 the other day, was scratched to b*ggery and wasn't even a first pressing.
On Brian's pic I did have the Led Zep and Bob Dylan on vinyl, but sold on years ago.
Still got the original Sex Pistols one, but in a moment of madness years ago I sold the free single "Submission" that came with it for about £5. But that was more than I had paid for the album so was happy at the time.
Wonder how many of these got eaten, currently selling for £275 - £695 for the set of 5 ::)
