Title: Scandidramas
Post by: Lee on 22.07.2022, 15:29
Not sure if that's the right title? Scandinavian dramas
Been lots of these on BBC4, BBC2 etc but hadn't watched any of them before.
Binge watched all 6 episodes of the new one 'Trom' last night.
Stunning scenery and a pretty good storyline set in the Faroe Islands.
Would recommend if you don't mind subtitles (or speak Faroese).

I cannot stand to watch programs with subtitles. I always look at the subtitles and miss what's actually happening on the screen, for some reason I'm not able to do both and believe me I've tried.

Used to be the same but recently I've started putting on the subtitles for English TV and films.
Mainly because I mostly watch TV late at night after the wife has gone to bed, and most channels now seem to have this habit of having quiet programmes and very loud adverts meaning I have to keep turning the sound up or down.
Also I concentrate better as I have to look at the TV instead of playing games while I listen  :lol

I have Bluetooth headphones with my TV as I have difficulty in hearing the quieter stuff said in programs

Although we rarely use them that way, we have the 3 phone system in the house and you can call each other from one to the other using it as an intercom. It doesn't use the phone line. When I'm going to be in the shed all day and it's wet and bad weather I'll take one with me and Shirl can call me if we have vistors etc
