I've started another Dollshouse for our friend Mary, who ask me to make it for her granddaughter.
The following photos are just a selection of the current status in the build process
This is basically the shell of the house, with the inner walls and floor. You'll see I've wallpapered the hall as it's a lot easier to do when everything is laying flat.

This is the stairs carpet being glued to the stairs. From previous experience the pins are the only way to hold the carpet will the glue sets

This is the balustrade which will go at the top of the stairs, again it's a lot easier to put things together outside.

Both the next photos are where I've created the chimney stacks and the pots. The stacks you'll see on the bench next to the vice, I have just sealed them with thinned pva glue so the brick effect wallpaper sticks better. The chimney pots are made from 12mm dowel which I drilled out the middle and then painted black inside, they will then be glued into the stacks.

I have created new posts after this so I can add more photos and info as I go.
I love the attention to detail :tiphat

The next owner will provide that ;)
Dave,
Is this something that you do to order or have you not considered that aspect?

Small woodwork like that is one of my hobbies Steamy and I only did that one as it's a close friend on mine. I don't take orders or anything like that.
If you want to see more go here (https://www.davejohnson.co.uk) you will have to sign up to see the photos though
Dave,
Just thinking laterally really, I'm in north Kent (I know you're in Kent somewhere) and I've an acquaintance who sells dolls houses (new and second hand) and all the shebang that goes in them, wall paper, carpets, furniture etc.. I just thought that there might be mutual benefit for you both in your hobby, there still maybe if you need anything to go in the houses you've already made, (Let me know if that is the case) but I know where you're coming from, hobbies can quickly turn into burdens when others find out you've an interest, I know from bitter experience!!
