Title: Toy Cars
Post by: Lee on 06.04.2023, 16:37
Like many others I collected toy cars when I was a kid.
Matchbox, Corgi, Dinky etc.
Although played with, most of mine were in decent condition (at least until I gave them to my own kids)  ::)
Sold most of the good ones about 30 years ago, when needing money  :crybye
Just left with a few wrecks like these

So now I just collect the pictures  :)
These are some of the better ones I once owned

Fair condition with boxes is enough to get good money for some of them. I watch Flog it and you see them on there sell for 100's even if they have some scratches but have the boxes.

Like most of the 'nostalgia' items you never gave much thought to saving boxes when you were young, just wanted to play with them.
At the time most were pretty cheap, I remember buying the Dinky Captain Scarlet SPV with the first ten shilling note I'd ever had, which is 50p in today's money and probably got change.
Matchbox cars were around 2-3 shillings (10-15p).
