Title: Cell phone charging.
Post by: Camper6 on 20.03.2026, 16:55
Have you ever wondered what the voltage output of your cell phone charger is.

I checked it out today with a voltmeter on the cable.

There's a transformer that reduces the  voltage from the mains plug in. In Canada it's 120 volts.

The output is 5 volts. So the battery in the cell phone should be about 4 volts.

It means you can use your charger for other things even batteries.
