Title: Getting a taste for it
Post by: Lee on 20.03.2026, 17:05
After last years success I enlarged my flowers area.
Had to remove a few rocks  :whistle

Put a bunch of bulbs in around October and it looks like most are either flowering or on their way.
Existing Roses and the Peony are just showing signs of life.
Did have 2 bluebells last year, didn't plant them they just appeared? this year it seems I have about 20  :scratchhead

After seeing the results of the £1 poundworld boxes of seeds last year I've bought some more, appears to be a totally random selection but was pleased with them. See what I end up with this year?
Hopefully I can identify smaller ones to go in the gaps in the bulb garden, and the others in the same area as last year.
First 2 pics last years + current seeds sown so far

How about a tip for starting seeds or plants?

I read that bottom heat works on seeds.

At one time I had a unit that plugged in and had bottom heat.  That was a long time ago.  I don't know if they still sell them.

I live in an apartment now so I don't have a garden.  My sister has a beautiful garden.  If I get that image thing fixed I'll post a picture.  She grows vegetables as well as perennials and annuals.  She's a true flower lover.

Just water and sunshine seems to be the trick  ;)
Keep soil moist and put in a sunlit window, plant out when weather warms up.
