Have you ever thought of an invention?

I grow plants on my windowsill facing south.  It works pretty good for plants that need sun.

The invention I'm thinking of is like a turntable to turn the plant daily so that it grows more centrally and evenly.

It shouldn't be hard to turn a plant 1/4 of a turn every day using a battery.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Can I do it myself somehow?

How about getting a lazy susan and adding a solar powered motor to it.

Has become a bit of an addiction  :whistle
Planted another bunch of seeds a couple of weeks ago, I just turn them all every morning
till they are ready to go out in about a month.

Not sure if you can get them in Canada but I found these on Amazon

The motor says 3 RPM so it's very slow and the solar panel should drive it OK. There are different lazy susans around but most of them are under C$36 the motor and solar panel are C$38, so pretty cheap...that's if you can get them there

I also use cuttings to propagate plants.

The latest is a Prayer Plant (Maranta)

I'll post a picture later.

Camper, I did have another thought while I was out today. How about the workings of a wind up clock and a lazy susan. If you can get the mechanism and lazy susan to fixed to a base of some sort and then use the hour hand shaft with a strong rubber band or similar to rotate the lazy susan, 'batteries not included'  :)
